Religion in Dialogue
    Ph.D. in Frankfurt

Religion in Dialogue draws on a broad array of resources for intercultural, interdisciplinary and interreligious research and teaching. Indeed, these three dimensions are the hallmarks of the programme.

One might mention the ongoing cooperation with four Scandinavian universities under the European SOKRATES programme. Or the Ethical Ecological Rating project, an intercultural and interdisciplinary investment consultancy activity designed to foster global cultural sustainability. And not least, the following cluster of thematically relevant research and teaching facilities is surely to be found nowhere else in Germany:

  • the Institute for Philosophy of Religion (IRF);
  • the Martin Buber Foundation Chair for Jewish Philosophy of Religion;
  • the annual visiting Chair for Intercultural Theology, which networks leading scholars from North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia and Oceania (as well as Europe).
