Religion in Dialogue
    Ph.D. in Frankfurt

To help structure your doctoral thesis, you will also pursue a course of study taking up approximately three hours per week. Your course will be structured on a modular basis. Your supervisor will guide you in selecting from the range of lectures and seminars offered by the departments of philosophy, sociology, Catholic theology and Protestant theology, those units which are most relevant to your particular topic. This is where your course takes on an interdisciplinary dimension.

In addition to receiving your doctorate, you will also be issued with a certificate (in English and German) indicating that you have successfully completed your studies. In other words, the study programme also provides you with an additional qualification demonstrating your achievements in Frankfurt.

To complement those three hours per week, there will also be numerous other opportunities to attend discussion groups, lectures by invited speakers etc, in accordance with your own interests. Full details concerning curricular structures can be downloaded below.
